    Hello

I hope someone can help me with this.

I know the Caesar cipher has a keysize of 26, so does the Vigenere cipher have a key size of 26 x 26, or is the key size related to the keyword chosen for the encryption/decryption?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

there are variants of the Vigenere cipher, all which just substitute each plaintext character with key stream..you probably know this now :)

the running key variant encrypts the entire message using a "random" byte for each plaintext letter.

there is not fixed key size for this cipher that i'm aware of, it could be 676 byte key, if you want, but of course its usually just a chosen keyword...
