I was wondering whether it is possible or not to buy a blackberry sim free from ebay and run it on an O2 clear sim (the sim where you only have to give a month's notice to cancel rather than a 12/18 mth contract) and add the blackberry add on to this or do I have to be in a 12/18 mth contract.

This would be a nice way to use a blackberry without having to be tied into a long term contract

As long as you add a blackberry data addon to it you would be fine. Which means you have be bill pay.

I know I need the blackberry addon but the O2 clear SIM is bill pay without the long term contract commitment (you just have to give 1 month's notice for cancelation).
This is why I am wondering do you have to sign up to the blackberry add on under a 12 month agreement or could you add it on to this package and say in 3 or 6 months if I wanted to I could cancel the whole thing (with a month's notice obviously)

    Does anyone have any idea?
