    Hi everyone!

Right Im moving back to Dublin in the next 2 weeks.

However before I moved I didnt exactly have that many friends (part of the reason i moved in the first place)

So i am just wondering where is the best place to meet new people in Dublin? I am very into comedy and socialising if that helps!

    Cheers!

Join as many clubs as you can, you are bound to make friends that way. There are also boards beers on regularily and they are a great way to make friends :)

Stand on the street with a sign "New friends needed" if nothing else you'll meet a few characters
Failing that try a few clubs (o not nite clubs!!), but clubs for stuff you're interested in; drama, dance, knitting etc. Even in a gym.

You could also go along to a Boards beer's, I went to a few a few years ago and they are generally a laugh, although they can be daunting going in and not knowing people for the first while, but they're definitely worth a visit.

Join a club, amazing how you bond with people through sport

I run a movie club, and we get a good mix of all sorts of people (even boardsies :))

    You're welcome to come along.

There are a few good comedy clubs around, I know the The International Bar is relatively cheap and good midweek, where the Laughter Lounge have good sets at the weekend.

The gym is generally a bad way to meet people, unless they have an active Social Club.

I've found gumtree to be pretty useful, both for joining things, and getting people to join me :)
