This was mentioned in new drinking laws thread.
The legislation is there for it but has anyone heard anything about this coming soon? I would have thought this would rake in a mound of dough for the state! i.e. FCPS lads pissin in the street etc...

i cant see it working.. Everyone leaving a pub can be classed as intoxicated. Can they all be given tickets ??

If someone is seriously drunk.. they need to be arrested for their safety and the safety of others.

Anyway.. i dont think a drunk will remember getting the ticket in the morning.. thus wont pay it.. it goes to a file... leading to more work for the mule

I imagine it'll work the same way it works here. Tickets can't be issued to those that're drunk or incapable of understanding what they're signing for.

For a minor public order offence or drunk and disorderly you arrest as normal and the suspect gets issued the ticket in the morning before they're kicked out having sobered up.
