Cheapest place to get a MacBook Pro

    A friend of mine is after a MacBook Pro. She doesn't want to break the bank so I spotted the 15.4" MBP on Pixmania for under €1600. 2.4GHz, 200GB etc. She'll be using it mainly for desktop publishing. Obviously, a 17" would be better but it's far too expensive for her. Anyone know where to get cheap MacBook Pro's? She's not a student and I've already checked out the Apple refurb shop. She doesn't know anyone in the US and is not planning a trip there anytime soon. Cheers.

    well I am in the US but im not on my way back ;) meaning if I shipped it you'd get the same import tax hit as evryone else, plus shipping costs: so you're not saving money that way (and thats before the house takes a cut :p)

    You should look at the apple website and check out the refurbished stock. They are good as new and come with warranty. you can save up to 30% sometimes

    Be aware that the MBP is almost certain to be replaced next month. It should be the first radical upgrade -with a whole new chassis, etc.- in years.
