    ...after a birdstrike, just reported on 5 Live. They can't divert flights to Durham Tees Valley as they're dealing with their own problem apparently.

    Pictures on Sky News show it sitting on the grass, nose down, Nosewheel collapse confirmed. RAF Marham TornadoGR4 13Sqn. Canopy up and reports are the crew are fine.

    Guessing here, but probably a multiple birdstrike at high alpha (slow speed). One hits the forward fixed canopy ('cuts and bruises') and the other dents the nosegear door - no sign of a partial nosegear deployment. They might have thought about ejecting, but were worried about the canopy det cord not firing or the canopy jamming. Definitely not just a NG collapse on touchdown, they'd probably have ejected in that case.

    Could've been a lot worse.
