Does anybody know how easy it is to get a taxi from Shelbourne Park to the city centre after one of their evening meets?

Also, what would be the ballpark figure for the fare?

It should be easy enough to get one. It's a main road. Shouldn't cost more than 6 quid... you could walk it in twenty minutes. Also, there are lot's of bus routes nearby. 1.05 bus fare...

Is it safe to walk though? I know areas of Pearse Street etc are fairly dodgy at night. Do you know the bus routes that run by there?

The terminus for most of the Tallaght buses are just at Ringsend garage, across the road from Shelbourne Park. Two minute walk if even that. 77, 77A, 50, 56A...there may even be a few more.

The 3 goes that way and is fine. OP it's a grand walk, don't worry bout it

I live there, there is a rank at the South Lotts entrance and you will have no problem getting a taxi, the rank is always occupied on race nights. A walk into town will take less than twenty minutes, a cab will be between €5-6 if you get off at the Molly Malone statue.

You won't have any trouble getting a taxi from Shelbourne. When the races are over they pull up outside the entrance and form a queue the whole way around the corner.
