You'd probably be better off starting a thread here.

Personally I'm not a big fan of hip hop and I haven't ever heard any Irish hip hop that didn't make me cringe, especially when the vocalist has that special brand of Dublin accent where they cram extra vowels into words that have no business being there. It's "mind", not "moind"!

cheers man, thanks for havin a listen!!

I know what your trying to say with the accent's but my accent is my accent, cant help that! Its better than putting on some fake accent and tryin to sound american or somethin...

as for sayin "moind" instead of "mind" I honestly cant hear that in the track I think your talkin about but maybe you were jus using that as an example?

cheers for the link too, Im new!!!

That's so true! I was listening to a band recently here in Galway and spoke to the singer afterwards. He was born and bred in Donegal and sounded it too when he spoke. When he sang though, he sounded completely American. I suppose in some cases it can come down to vocal training but I'm sure some people put it on deliberately.

All I listened to was part of the first song on your Myspace page - LP Sampler. The first line "I've got something on my mind" sounds to my ears like "Oi've got somethin' on moi moind". Anyway, don't mind me and my dislike of certain accents. I'm sure if you came over to Galway you'd hate how we speak here too :).
