Anyone thinking of doing this? I know Dublin isnt listed as a city, but am thinking of going to London or NY for it. Would be a savage buzz

If you have the nike+ tracker thing you can still do it in Dublin and upload your results to the website.

that's what my mother just said to me. sure if thats case I could just hit the tread mill in the gym for 10k and upload my results, but jaysus, i'd be nice to have a weekend away in London and meet a whole bunch of people and stuff. I havent ruled out Chicago or New York for this like :)

Could you handle the boredom of 10k on the treadmill though?

You can buy the wrist band in town. The sports shop on Grafton street have them. (I think its a nike shop)

Most sports shops should have them. I saw it in the elverys 'running shop' last week.

Did this race yesterday (in London). Was aiming sub 50min, pretty awful conditions though, finished 50:05. Gutted:(

Hey the Nike+ sports band is essentially two pieces of kit. One is a small little pod that sits in your shoe the second is a wrist strap not much bigger than the livestrong band and has a little usb memory key on it. It also has a display which tells you how far you have run what pace and everything. For 60 yo's yo's it's very good. It's not going to be as accurate as something like a GPS unit but it's not bad.

    Damian.
