HI GUYS , I am thinking of starting running regular weekly tournaments in the monaghan/ louth area and i am looking for some feedback if it would
interest enough people to get it goin .
I am looking for numbers and possible locations and what is the best nights in different areas and what sort of structure would work .
At the moment there is nothing in the area for people ,unless they travel to Drogheda or Dundalk , so i am gonna try to save people traveling too far from home and bring a good structured weekly event somewhere close to you .
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,
You can pm here or email me at nutzpokertour@yahoo.ie

I just thought it was a bit weird thats all!! So what are you planning to do to interest punters, any guranteed prize pools, any solid locations identified?
With numbers dropping its going to be difficult to get the punters in and there is already a lot of good operators out there at the moment.

I have a nice location in carrickmacross that will hold 6 to seven tables comfortably and i am doing research around the 2 counties to see who is interested in holding an event . but i need to get response on here otherwise it will be a bit pointless setting up somewhere that no 1 will go to. I am getting chips and tables sorted as we speak and hopefully by the end of the month i will have it up and running , but it aint easy as i work fulltime also. Tnx for your interest dtr , i am at a bit of a loss as to your identity but hopefully time will tell ,and if you have any ideas for a location
you think will work please let me know . If you guys give me the info i will put in the time to make it work

Hmmm, you can only have one account here, so please tell me which account you would like me to ban. Alternatively I'll ban both. I've deleted the post from 523ISE

    Ste05

EDIT: Just noticed this post and have banned 523ISE from Poker.

good luck with this damien. As i said in dundalk the other day, if ya want a hand/few phone numbers - or a sht load of equipment give me a shout.

You'l find there will be a demand for this, but i wouldnt rely on boards for your attendance. You may get a few from here, but most here play online, and dont seem to be from the cavan/monaghan area (maybe im completely wrong).

Try posting in the regions section (if allowed) and along with posting here and a load of posters and flyers in carrick and surrounding areas, aswell as s few text messages you should get 3/4 tables to start, and build from there. Yes there could be a demand, but just coz you decide to run it doesnt mean it'l be full - takes alot to get these things off the ground.

    Gl with it

Thanks very much , im getting all the equipment gathered up at the moment and i have labels ordered and also sourcing flyers so it shouldnt be too long , a couple of weeks maybe .
I was thinking of starting with a tourney where 1st prize includes a ticket for Killarney , what do you think , good or bad idea

good luck crazy horse ;) this is a great idea, much needed cause there is a huge untapped market around the monaghan area. U were right when u said they have to travel to dundalk or drogheda for a proper game...but they DO travel as there is nowhere in monaghan to play!!
I think gettin small posters made up and put up around carrick, ballybay and blayney would attract at least 40 runners for a sunday game.
Great location u have in carrick (i played there for my irish open ticket satellite) great tables, chips etc..and excellent structure, and very well run including good dealers so u obviously know what ur doing.
I agree with an earlier post saying that u wont get a lot of players of boards.ie , thing is..a lot of the players are in rural settings and dont hav access to the internet but theyre gaggin for a game, so get the word out on the street is the best way to go, the rest will fall into place.
Anyway good luck m8...keep me posted ;)
