    Say you do a search in youtube and for example get this :

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omFdpnSu57U

    Simply add &fmt=18 to the end of the link (any link) and the quality improves somewhat !

    The quality doesn't increase on every video. It has to have the Higher Quality version available.

    its only available on the videos that will be in higher quality when you add that after the address
