Hi just wondering if the registered owner of the car has to bring the car for NCT? I have one this week but can't go myself so my mom is gonna bring it.
What documents should I give her to bring? And any tips for pre NCT!!

    Thanks!

Ya, anyone can bring it. You need to bring the Vehicle Licensing cert too

to be honest i always just put the car through without doing anything. if it fails i have a list of whats wrong. (this has thankfully never happened).

Don't forget to remove hub caps if they are fitted. Another useful tip is to buckle up the seat belts in the rear because the tester will not go rumaging for the seat or the seat belt receiver if it buried under the back seat somewhere. Also, make sure boot is empty and check your light bulbs for functionality and check your fluid levels, oil, water, brake fluid, etc.
