Just wondering if anyone has any information on Skype Phones; if they're any good.

The phone I'm intending to get is this one.

Have you looked into getting a wifi phone such as the E51 and using fring?

Don't buy a Skype - Skype phone.....buy a sony or nokia which has skype built in.....not to go to far over your budget the sony k530i ot k660i would be a good choice, there very solid feeling phones and skype is built in and works perfect on them....

the skype phones themselves have had a few problems.....

I agree with both posters above. Although I have never had a skype phone nor know anyone with one they look and feel dreadful. I would go with a more established brand like nokia or sony ericsson with the skype built in.

I already have a phone. My girlfriend will be moving back to England in September and will be using Skype. The way I see it, using a Skype enabled phone would save me a lot of money in the long run (it costs something like 50c a minute to ring mobile-UK mobile.

So, the simple skype phones are pretty much useless then?

I personally dont like it, i dont like the menus and firmware on the phone but thats my 2 cent, i know i few people that its one of their favourite phone so.. down to personal taste. I would agree with the n95 idea, but thats some extra cash...

You could buy a 3G router for the three bb if that would be a better solution for you. Dont quote me on it but i think about 80quid
