Is this a good bargain?

That box set seems very dodgy.

Apparently S5 is only available on pre-order so far for $60. S4 is still going for $60 so it wouldn't make much sense that the entire box set of all seasons was available for just another $30.
Secondly the packaging seems to feature relatively minor characters from the show.

Maybe it's legit but I'd look for it on sale on reputable sites first.

Does it strike anyone as strange that it has Bubs as the biggest character on the front?

You'd think it'd be McNulty or Stringer, just looks off to me.

I think in general, those "dodgy" looking copies work fine but are just that, copies.
Not legit and no money getting back to HBO.

I bought one of the too-good-to-be-true ((AUS$60 (incl postage)) box sets with more than a little scepticism.
It is indeed a Chinese copy but the quality is fine. I'm very happy.
Strangely, the cover backdrop is the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
So if you are a collector, an avid fan or morally sound then perhaps this isn't for you.
The legit version is approximately 3 times the cost.
It's such a great show though, either way, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Update:
Warning tho, the site I bought from has gone and the link in the first post is also defunct so these people are shifty.
I guess they are being tracked down.
In fact I really should check my credit card statement - Oh sh!!t

get the first four seasons very cheap for bout 12 quid each then pick up the 5th season somewhere else that is what i did

Seasons 1 thru 5 14.99 sterling each
Might be worth a trip up to Belfast for that price

just bought seasons 1 -4 for 56e. season 5 was 36e on its own, but my local hmv have it for 25e.

HMV up in Swords had the price marked up to 55 euro two weeks ago after it being 35 for a while...luckily one or two at the back of the shelf were still marked 35. While it's worth the 55 it would be a shame for someone to get charged so much extra due a the sudden interest.
