Would anyone have any recommendations on the best Sat Nav to buy (as a present) for someone traveling mainly in Dublin but also in Galway, Cork, Kildare and also in the UK?

It seems Garmin are the best because they use Navteq maps? Not sure if that is definitely the case.

Does anyone recommend a particular model??

    Thanks folks. :)

Garmin Nuvi 200 is the cheapest model which gives you complete coverage of UK and Ireland, consider 200W for a wider screen or the 250 has maps of all of Europe. By common consent on this forum the Navteq maps on the Garmin units are better for Ireland.

Don't register the unit on the Gamrin website until the next version of the maps become available, then register and say you bought the unit the week before in which case you'll be entitled to a free upgrade.
