03-08-2008 10:52pm#1Went along to this today not expecting too much and was pleasantly surprised.
As I expected, there was a big area dedicated to modified stuff but there was plenty of interest the classic enthusiast as well.
There was also a huge variety of other interesting side shows, from Midget racers, trials riding displays, classic and custom trucks and a very entertaining 4X4 course where the guys were really going for it!

Another nice Capri with a lovely blue and cream leather Recaro interior.
Interesting custom Beetle. Think its a Co. Tipp reg. Anyone know what year?
This pink Caddy was immaculate. The interior is pink too!
Nice old Ford truck. Had "Twin I beam" badge on the side.

A very strange Mini!
Here are some of the midget racers, Some of them had big bike engines in them.
Off roaders. These were all Landies, but there were all sorts, from Suzuki jeeps on stilts to a huge Landcruiser Amazon (whose driver had a death wish), to specially built mud pluggers.
The guy in this Land rover with the roll cage, was a head case and was getting air off some of the ramps. He got seriously stuck shortly after this shot, until the guy in the Amazon just drove up and punted him out! Mud flying everywhere and great stuff to watch.
All in all, a good day out.1

EFI*** Ran from february1963 to january 1964 in tipperary north,i think that car was a volksworld feature car some years back if i remember correctly..Didnt the oval beetles finish up in the mid 50s,so looks like that car is either a reshell or a custom job?0 -

You're right, it's a custom built bug with an oval section welded in. It was featured in Volksworld in 94. Still looks great. Have a close look, there's some really cool custom touches.0 -
