Highbred or recovery club ??

Hi Folks, I have a very traditional set of clubs SW - 4 iron plus D,3 and 5wood and play of 19 handicap on a parkland course. When I end up in the rough even though is kept quite short I have great difficulty getting out with anything more than a 7 iron particularly when wet.

I have tried the 5 wood but it is not reliable and am thinking of getting some kind of Highbred or recovery club to gain a bit more distance. Any suggestions.?

Was it a hybrid between a golf club and a life support machine? :D

They're a good tool to have in the bag and sounds like one would be perfect for you. It's amazing some of the lies they can get you out of.

I have a Cobra baffler myself and really like it. Have a look around as a few of the shops have sales on.

Taylor Made, Ping, Cobra, Cleveland... all these hybrids are good. The Cleveland halo can be had fairly cheap now too... around 100. For a bit less y mate has a jack Nickluas and it's pretty nice too...

I think the MD Golf ones get good reviews too.

I must get one myself as I've stopped carrying a 4 iron and although I'm very good at hitting a soft 5 wood there's a big gap in my clubs.
