That is strange. Are you sure they paid you? It should have been in friday morning but you may have to wait till tuesday because more than likely it was some problem with processing payment. This has happened a few times to me.

I would think they paid me..I walked into the office at that time (Thursday around 3pm) to verify my personal info etc.. She said it should appear in my account maybe Friday or latest Tuesday< Not sure why she said that why so late?. Im thinking there may be delay because of the bank holiday.?

I guess, best thing is to wait till Wednesday but getting a little anxious because it should be my first payment from this new job

    I used to pay wages.

There are a couple of issues.

    1. If you are in a different bank than your employer, there can be a delay of a few days between when they pay you and when you get paid. For example, if they are Ulster Bank and if you are BOI, the two banks might have a three to five day delay when funds are transferred between each other.

    2. It depends what time of day the wages were paid. I vaguely remember payments after 5 or something like that only go through until the next day.

    3. She could be wrong. It's unusual for someone who is paid monthly to get their first months wage within the first month if they started so close to pay day.

    4. She could be full of ****. :)

    I suspect it's #1.

Thanks for the replies. I called up my coworker and he said they do use Ulster bank, that might explain
