In the year 1405 the medievil warrior Tamerlane died and on his tomb a warning was inscribed.
It said whoever opens this tomb will unleash terrible war upon his land.
On the 19th of June 1941, Russian anthropologists removed the stone slab that covered the tomb and exhumed Tamerlane's body.
On the 22nd June 1941 Hitler invaded Russia and the rest is history.

Considering at no point was more than 10% of the Soviet landmass under German occupation compared with 100% of German lands under Soviet /Allied occupation. Also that Germany was divided for 44 years not to mention the millions of rapes and atrocities commited on its land and against its combatants. In that case it could just as easily have been opened by German anthropologists !

But yes it is a nice story have to admit. Btw the Tamerlane story was also touched on in that russian Movie 'Nightwatch' - id recommend watching 'Daywatch' first if you havent already seen them.
