    Hi,
I want to install custom firmware onto my psp mainly because of the cool hombrew apps i want to try out. Problem is i'm afraid of doing it myself because I might brick my PSP so does anyone know a website where they offer the service. Or maybe some boardies might be lend me a hand???

i have CFW on my PSP (mind you i haven't touched it in yonks). word of warning, check the version PSP you have. if it's slim you're not able to hax0r it. also, check the version of your motherboard (open the disk-tray and look in the corner to see if there's print on the motherboard, if there is, you've got an un-hackable psp).

of course i could be wrong as i've been out of the "scene" for quite some time. all i've done is play ps1 games i bought on PSN... though i do have my eyes on patapon :D

You have been out for a while! Slims are hackable now and so are the other motherboards. Also, you dont need to buy ps1 games from the PSN!!

As for the OP's problem, there are plenty of people on adverts and boards who can help (although they're probable sick if it by now!). You probably need to use a pandora battery
