Too these today when out and about. Any C&C appreciated. I probably should have got in closer to the B&W poppy pic. Is it a little lost in the pic? How would you improve it?

Love the first one & the third one.
I think the flower in the second one is too small to have the desired effect.

The main problem with 2 for me is that the poppy is half blocked.

    3 is very nice.

    Yeah, that's probably it alright.

I tried to get the poppy in front of the wheat but it was so windy that it kept blowing back :(

It's definitely too small as well I think. And to make matters worse, when I was turning the car on the narrow road up to the field, the front of it fell into a dyke and I had to sit there for an hour dying of a hangover until two lads came along and helped me push/pull/lift it out. This photography lark is dangerous business!!

I like the first and third, as the others have said, perhaps cropping tighter on the poppy would be better, and if you were to re-take the shot, taking a picture where the poppy wasn't obscured would be nice.
And for the first one, i do like it, but if i was taking it i would have gotten lower and taken the shot so just the sky and the gold (barley??) was showing. But that's just me...
    Nice!

The poppy in the second being so small in the frame actually says something to me rather than it being just a picture of a poppy, it's showing scale, emphasises how different it is from the surroundings. I love it.

I like the 3 of them, if your sig was smaller I'd like them even more!

Thats the size it comes out of Lightroom as. Cant change it unfortunately. I could always leave it out I suppose :)

If you export it as a larger image, the sig comes out smaller. Then just link to a smaller version from Flickr.

I love number 2; I think it's the fact that the poppy is obscured makes it so engaging. Otherwise it'd just look like a greetings card, too perfect

Something similar happened to me on the May Holiday Weekend.
My sister was on hand to get a picture of my mate pushing the car out. :D

    #3 Is great, well done

#2 I like the idea but the B/W conversion of the wheat just looks wrong to me

#1 Nicely done, but the perspective seems wrong to me, the poppy seems just a shade big.

#1 - dark background in places - distracting. harsh-ish shadow on the flower. lots of clutter.

#2 - clutter clutter clutter. also looks semi-cgi due to the conversion

#3 - nice shot, but I think a higher angle would work better.

Number 1 is superb in my opinion
