Through another forum I came across a girl in Tipperary who is getting married in September. She's had a bit of bad luck with family etc and is now without a photographer, a family member that was to do it now cannot make it. Anyway I had offered to help her out as best I could but unfortunately after finding out she is in Tipperary it would be a bit far to go.

Maybe someone here might like to help her out, somebody looking to build a portfolio possibly?

Have you shot a wedding before, Ken?
    It's seriously tough!

Actually, I'm of the opposite opinion these days - It's as tough as you make it for yourself!

(Elven can back me up here!)

There are a lot of things that can go horribly wrong, yes. If you are good with your camera, have backup gear, and can deal with people, you can get decent results easily enough though.

Well I shot my first wedding and I found it more enjoyable than anything else! I would agree with Fajitas, it is as tough as you make it for yourself, the more relaxed you are the easier it is!

oh and like elven says here, I had a back up camera and loads of spare batteries for the flash, although I hardly used flash!

Well I guess a lot depends on the expectations of the bride & her mother.
