Reverse polarity on campsites

Has anyone come across a problem with reverse polarity on some French campsites? I've never had a difficulty but read on some English websites about it being a serious problem. Anyone any experiences?

Thanks for the link, I did do a search but with reverse in the title all I seemed to get was "Learn to Drive" threads.
