Where does Cartell get the Info from

    Does anyone know where cartell gets all its information from?

    They use the National Vehicle and Driver File (NVDF) - a redacted version of it which removes personal details. The NVDF I think is now maintained by dept of transport - used to be dept of environment.

    Additionally, insurers (for cat c/d writeoffs) and there is also the chance they get info from any other source where people forget to tick 'do not share my information' boxes - garages, fuel cards, etc.

    Also, at car/boys toys shows, they offer a free check. You are asked for details such as mileage etc, and this ends up on the database as well.
