I think this would be a dream matchup. Tua has a chin of steel and a hook from hell. I don't think Haye would sweat him. What say you?

I think you have Eisenfaust and Stahlhammer confused.

Tuas chin isn't steel anymore- Rahman dropped him in their "draw" fight, and its a safe bet that Tuas resistance has eroded, naturally, with the passing of the years. I still don't think David could take him out, and it would be interesting to see if David could get through the first 2 rounds and use his skills to defuse the guy.

I don't know if his punch resistance has got any worst, that clip is just to show that while he's got a very good chin it was possible in the past to chin him.

Tua is pretty washed up, he still has his power and his chin is probably still pretty good so from that point of view it's a decent test. But Tua is very small(5 inches smaller and the same weight) and less mobile than he used to be. It's very possible that Haye could just outbox him easily from range and he wouldn't even be tested versus Tua.

I think someone like Chris Arreola would be better to give the type of test the OP is looking for. I don't really rate Arreola as World titles go, but there's no doubt that he can punch, seems to have a very good chin and is aggressive. Arreola is a small bit taller than Haye and is around the same in reach and weight(when he's in shape) aswell and I think he'd give Haye a real proper test, with guaranteed excitement too.

I was going to mention the Savon stoppage but I thought, maybe, being KO'd at a young age by a dominant amateur legend would have been harsh on him. All fighters can get chinned, Ali was all over the shop against Cooper but his chin got better as he "filled out" in time. Just how it is. I think David is just too heavy to effectively cut off the ring as good as he used to. That vid also shows what a sourpuss David can be.
