So, I've only had the Xbox maybe 2 weeks and again something weird has gone wrong. First time the Xbox wouldn't read the discs, so brought it back and got it replaced. Now it's giving me the whole Three Red Lights crap and so I'm wondering; should I get another xbox or just get my money back?

Right- I was in the middle of replying saying that it had started working again blah blah blah. But, now, it's gone back to the Three Red Lights.

To everyone who has said they've had their for ages and no problems; I'm happy. Seriously though, going through 3 xbox's in 2 weeks is a bit much. I'm beginning to lose all respect for Microsoft at this point.

They are in the process of replacing their components with stop gap components on the way to the final components. So you should be alright if you get one of those.

    ....

    Right ...

    ... ok ...

I brought it in, the shop gave me a replacement no problem. Took it home. Only just took it out of the box, plugged it in. Turned it on

    ... and ...

Straight away I got the three red lights! Money back tomorrow, methinks.

Wow that's bad luck. Although I've had two RRODs I'm still very happy with the games Ive played on Xbox. You should definitely get your money back and buy it elsewhere.

It seems to be ok now. I have been told that I can get my money back within a year of purchase.

The Xbox has a one year warranty for everything but is extended to three years for the red ring.

If it red ringed once straight after purchase I'd get my money back, no point in waiting around it's only a matter of time.

Without any sarcasm meant whatsoever......get your money back and buy a PS3. I had same problems but it took a few months to happen and then many failures in a row. The refurbs are no better. Get rid of it.

It seems to be ok now. But if it breaks I'm just going to get my money back and buy something else. Probably not another console though.
