I think the extra €20 for the 5310 is prob the better option. The 5310 is a little smaller and lighter. I think it has a bigger screen too. Its look a bit weird to me but the covers can be changed on it. The memory is better on the 5310, both take cards. The battery time is know to be bad on the 6300 aswell. And i think both the cameras are the same, so thats my view on it. Also not sure if this is valid but i have come across 2 broken ones lately.

I would have said the same, the metal back gives that impression, but one of the 2 that were broke the front cover came off, and the other the screen went funny. Could have been a bad two ofcourse.

Also the one with the screen, the right and left buttons wouldn't work, up and down was fine, but side to side no.

The back cover on the 6300 can try your patience at times but haven't seen any returns bar one with faulty software...couple of 5310's gone back for repair - they just don't look durable, i'd hate to stand on one..

my nokia e65 has taken some amount of abuse over the last year, stood on, dropped every second day, beer spilt on it every weekend, I reckon it's pretty close to being bullet proof....

Holy god, I have 6300's back ALL the time with software issues and everything, I hate having to sell them! Only seen 2 5310s for repair, about 1 5310 to 8 6300s for repair but ya the 5310 feels very plastic!

you shoud have checked out the 3 version first, there's a big difference in the way these phones are set up, the 3 one is pre loaded with msn messanger, skype, google, yahoo, hotmail, you tube, tv, internet, video calling etc....

6300 is an average phone. Battery is fairly poor though.

5310 is a better buy. Much more reliable. Bigger memory card. Better battery. At the end of the day, battery life and reliability are way more important that aesthetics.

The original (silver) 6300's had terrible batteries. I have just got one of the new 6300's (black) as a work phone and the battery is a helluva lot better. The 5310 is smaller and slimmer, but feels more "plasticky".

If I was to choose, I would go with the new 6300.

Just went to buy the 6300 on the o2 website and they are out of stock.

Typical, they do a sale over the weekend then "run" out of stock, could you still order it and they deliver when restocked?

No out of stock, no order button.
