    At the start of the summer I got a call from a branch of a well known large store that Id left my cv in to. They did a quick phone interview (multiple choice questions) and said i'd been succesful, was through to the next round and they'd be in contact in a few weeks. However, that was in about June and Ive heard nothing since! Ive a friend who works there and said the recruitment process is very slow and it took her 4 months from the original call until she was actually employed. I'm currently in a temporary summer job but my contract ends in 4 weeks, and the job in the shop would be perfect for going back to college. What are the chances of getting a call at this stage? Anyone had an experiences like this? Should I ring them up in a week or two?

    Maybe they've forgotten about me... but they have my mobile and home phone number so I'm holding on to a bit of hope...

    Be polite and friendly. Worst case scenario it gets you back on their radar.

    Ive worked for 2 well known stores and the process had been pretty quick each time, though it has been slower for others. No harm in giving them a call and asking what the story is if its been over a month since you heard from them last
