Heard a bit of this on another station aswell, Eamonn Ryan (I think) talking about were using the latest technology, mpeg4 like other EU countries but not the UK.
And that people in the trial said this new fangle dangle thing called an EPG was brilliant, one page with all the channel/station/program info on it. WOW!

The Electronic Program Guide is over 10 years old.

Teletext program guides since 1970s... Only 3 to 6 channels before multichannel PayTv.
