Problems with Tesco mobile

I ported my 083 number from O2 to Tesco a few months ago. All was well until last week until I noticed that no one was able to call me. It turned out that I could not be called from any other mobile network or any landlines. I could only be called by other Tesco users. I could of course call anyone I liked on any network.

Callers received a message "The number you have dialled is not recognised".

I rang Tesco mobile CS in the first instance. They could not explain what was wrong. They said leave it with them and they would get back to me. They called back a day later saying they still didn't know what was wrong. They started blaming 3 as I had a 083 number and said that I should ask them.

A week later no resolution was forthcoming from Tesco so with regret I ported to Meteor. I am glad to say that I have now got full service again.

Just posting to see if anyone here has ever experienced this and to see if anyone has any idea what happened and why Tesco couldn't sort it out.

3 don't allow anyone to call Tesco mobiles, so I guess that they even won't do it when you port. I left 3 for that reason, shower of £E"£^&£"*! Seems they want more money from Tesco

They had ported me properly as I had no problems on Tesco for about 6 months. It then suddenly went pear shaped.
