Im getting a break-barrell gamo hunter 1250 .177 cal, and just wondering if anyone here has one, or tried one out and could give me some info?
Also does anyone one know if all air rifles in this country or coming into this country are set at 12 ft/lb??

    cheers guys.

Not by a long shot - pretty much all the target air rifles are 7 joules (~6 ft/lbs) or so, and the field air target ones would go up past 12 ft/lbs.

cheers sparks thats good news, it said on the gamo website that its 380m/s -1250f/s about 30 joules probly somewhere in the twentys ft/lbs.
so do you think it will be the same power rifle here in ireland as they advertise on their website? (with fac).

Should be sean. Pretty much any air rifle you get over here is already "on FAC" so to speak, so there's no restriction in terms of power like there is in the UK where the 12 ft/lb limit gives an incentive for manufacturers to get as close to the line as possible without going over. Here, the limit isn't 12 ft/lbs, it's 1 joule, and that's so low that it really only exempts airsoft toys and the like. For everything else, it's anything goes.
