    On the same theme as invalidations thread, however with further information requests the planners can really let their imaginations run wild.

    - FI Request - A developer of small housing schemes was applying for permission for a well deserved family home for himself was asked why he had not moved into any of the houses he had previously built?. Reply - ....eemmmm.... because he was trying to sell them ?????.

    The most annoying are queries are on information already provided;

    - FI Request - Please indicated on the site plan the seperation distance from the houses to the rear to the proposed house. Reply - Please refer to dimension indicated in red on originally supplied site plan.

    I had a request for a photo montage of a site, yes it was in a very senic area with protected views from the road to the sea and of course it was between the road and the sea but it was hidden behind trees and it couldn't be seen from the road at all (where the view was protected from) So I sweetly asked the planner did they expect me to get a boat and go to sea to get a photo to do this and I got a even sweeter reply of Yes!!! Even worse this was in november, I couldn't get a someone with a boat untill the May bank holiday weekend, just about got it in before the six months ended!!

    Was asked by Kildare County Council to produce a shadow study to show the impact of our proposal on a building due south of the proposal.
    We did one anyway, but noted that the sun usually shines from the south, and northern buildings do not cause shadows to southerly ones.....

    Got asked to do a sun study for a particular development, we had the building modled in 3d anyway so we made a video showing the neighbouring buildings and the shadows it cast over them. we submitted it on cd as it was a video but were told it had to be printed and they needed it in 5 min intervals:D.
