As per title. Looking for some suggestions of a garage with diagnostic equipment to diagnose a car that failed NCT on emissions. Prefer not to go to a main dealers if possible. Based in south side of Dublin. Thanks:D

What emission(s) did it fail on?

Sorry was away for a bit. It failed on low idle CO emission of 0.75% and only 0.5% allowable. The lambda was fine and HC and CO on high idle were within limits.

It's a 98 Ford Ka2. My mechanic reckons it could be the Cat as the air flow meter was just replaced before the test. But i want to be sure before spending a fortune on a new Cat.

That's only just outside the limit. Was the car well warmed up when you presented it for the test? If not you might chance a re-test with a properly heated up engine (thus properly heated up cat). You might just pass. If not, go the diagnostic route...
