Does anyone have any idea of how to take in a sample of frozen product from China.?

The freight costs seem very high to fly in a few boxes of frozen product as a sample.

I am been quoted around 4k. Does this seem right?

Assuming that a "few boxes" is no more than than (say, <10), and that the weights are reasonably low (20 or 30 kgs), then I'd say - OUTRAGEOUS!

    Who quoted that price?

I know it's got to be transported frozen - bu still appears to be high. Check the web for specialist chilled goods forwarders and get several quotes.

I resist asking why import frzoen goods from China on the basis that it must be "doable" more locally....

That's really not that easy, I think shipping by cargo should be useful.

Yes, I think the company can find a logistic service to provide such shipping.
    It's available here in Hongkong.
