Sore Chest

    Hey!

I wonder if anyone can help me!

Around 6-7 weeks ago I was playing a rugby game and got an elbow to the chest, then as I was tackling the same guy, his two knees came down on my chest too. It was quite sore and I couldnt bend or anything for a week or 2!

I went to the doctor twice and he said that it was more than likely just bruisng and just to take it easy on it for a while.

Since then I have been in the gym, not doing much upper body, but have started to do some chest presses with a light weight just to see how my chest is. Also when I go running, my right pectoral muscle is uncomfortable.

Does this injury take long to repair itself and is it normal for it to take this long?

    Thanking you in advance!!

I was on the receiving end of a huge spinning kick while training at Muay Thai, landed right on the sternum/breastbone. It took a couple of months before I was back to form. Take it easy for a while. If you're still concerned get a second opinion.
