I have to take four VIPs from other countries to limerick, connemara, cliff of moher, kilkenny, newgrange, etc They want to stay at 5 star hotels only. On the last day of stay I am planning to take them to new Gorden Ramsey at powerscourt. has anybody been there? Any good restaurants in the areas I mentioned above? Many thanks They are not ordinary folks so please don't recommend ordinary good value restaurant.

I could recommend a few but think it would be best if you take me along with you.....just to make sure you go to the right places........;)

Had dinner in Ramsay's last year on the opening weekend. Naturally the food was amazing as well as the service. Definitely worth the experience! Even managed to get a tour of all the kitchens :D

If you really want to impress them you could try and book the Chefs table in the kitchen. Seats 10 people I think and they give you tastes of loads of different choices. I think it was a 10 course sitting (small portions) and was roughly €100 per head.

Ramsay's is very hard to reach! I managed to talk to the staff. The chef table is 1500euro (OMG) I talked to my clients but haven't heard from them(just 4people dining there) I wonder if it's worth it...

No point in going for the Chef's table with only 4 people dining. You can get the same food on the normal menu as the chef's table (i.e. small portions of more coarses), it just means you are sitting in the dining room as opposed to the kitchen. This costs the €100 I mentioned before.

If you cannot reach Ramsays, ring the hotel themselves and see if they can book you in.
