Recovery Disc

    Hey i have a Dell XPS M1330 its acting up by just crashing after a few mins of starting it up! wana get it sorted but my warranty isnt covered if i dont create a recovery disc? how do i do that?

    Usually laptops come with a recovery disc or a recovery partition, so you might already have one.

    Here are instructions to make one, you would need an XP cd and a valid CD Key.

    It seems weird that they would ask you to do that. What company is it and were they the ones that said you needed the recovery disc?

    You shouldn't need to create recovery disks. When the laptop is starting up, keep tapping F8. That will bring up a screen that will give you the option to repair the laptop (I think that's it). Select that. There's quite a few options in there and I can't remember exactly how to do it. I'll try and find a guide for it.
