I have a Blackberry 8320 Curve with no network. It displays "OFF" beside the signal on the screen. The phone is from the USA and is unlocked.

    Any ideas?

    What network are you with?
Dos it show any network signal?
You probably need to activate the blackberry tariff to get rid of the 'OFF' signal

    Try manually select the network.

You have probably turned the phone off and on?

There is probably a setting on the phone that needs to be switched on.

You don't need a special tariff to work a blackberry so don't worry about that! but if you are going to push/pull mails get on it contact your service provider to ensure you get a bundle.

if you can't get the coverage try the below website

the phone is prob in offline mode I can put both my Nokia's E51 and N95 in offline modes kind of handy if i only want to listen to music and don't need no body interrupting me!

If there is no signal indication at all the is an option to turn off the radio (similar to flight mode on other phones) Bring up the applications home screen by pressing the blackberry menu button. On that screen there is an icon which looks like a radio mast. Go to that and it will give you he option to turn the radio of or on. It may take a few seconds to switch from off to on

It's working :) I left the phone in work, and when I came in this morning, it was working :) I think I had to switch the network on or something.:D

One last question, it's changing from edge to gprs, is this set on dual mode?, how can I leave it on just gsm, if possible.

Go into network settings and just switch it onto GSM mode

It will change from gprs to edge all the time and vice versa.
You cannot alter this with a setting on the Blackberry.
