I just recently had my nokia 6280 from 3 unlocked so that i could use my vodafone sim card on it. Problem is that i can't send any texts at all, i keep getting the message:
    Message sending failed
    Sending not allowed

I have checked that the message center is set to +35387699989 and i can make calls, receive calls, receive texts, send multimedia messages, access the web all on vodafone except for sending messages. I checked the Nokia web site and it does not send you the settings for simple text messaging.

    Can anyone help??

well i went to a vodafone shop and they knew what the problem was and fixed it by giving me a new sim card cloned from the old one. Seems that the old sim card was not compatible with the 6280 so replacing it with a newer one fixed the problem and it was done for free.

The sim card was too old and didn't have the capacity to send the sms. The new sim will have a higher capacity thus letting you send sms's
