Recessed Lights - Energy Saving Bulbs

    Hi,

this has probably been covered already or this is the wrong forum, so feel free to move it.

We're building an extension at the moment which will have a sloper inner ceiling and so the only possible lighting option could be to use recessed lights. Now we know how expensive they are to run, so I'm wondering what are the viable options out there for good quality energy saving bulbs for recessed lights.

We have a light fixture in the kitchen that uses those same two pin bulbs and so I bought some eveready energy bulbs that fit this light and would also fit recessed lights. The light from them is very poor and very white. So they'll be going back to the shop.

What have you done with your recessed lights?
