while searching for a lens adaptor for my G9, I came across this article, which I found quite interesting...

    http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/G9-Japan.shtml

Disclaimer: don't work for Canon and have no interest in promoting this camera, but I see that there people asking about it from time to time and I though this was a more interesting review than the standard 100% crop pixel peeper types...

Very interesting read. I have been looking for a good quality "travel" camera
    for a long time.

I always carry mine with me. I especially like the high quality video, dead handy for work etc.
