Anyone ever used the site www.tools.ie before? I'm interested in buying a rather expensive tool set from them, but can't see much about them on the web. E.g. no company name on the website, etc..

    Anyone got any comments?

    Hi

If you look at the end of the page you can see a link for hometech.ie with a phone number and an address in Gorey, looking at the whois both companies are own by same preson.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for that. Yup - I'd spotted the guy ran both sites. Seems he's a registered sparks (listed on the ecssa) and they've had no complaints about him. Emailed the Teng distributor/supplier for UK/Ireland and they vouched for him too!

So have ordered the tools and will see how it goes. I'll post back the outcome of the transaction! 'Reputation' is king among the etailers methinks, so assuming all goes will then fair play to the lad, he's given me a good price and should get a nod for it. Delivery should hopefully be next week, won't take long to see what happens.

Well - credit where it's due. I went ahead and ordered a big set of Teng tools from tools.ie, got pretty much the best price I've seen anywhere for them. Communications while I ordered were top class. And the tools arrived in pristine condition, two days after the payment cleared.

    Couldn't be happier!
