Disgraceful Treatment of Wex & Galway

    Was listening to Tom Dempdey, the Wexford minor hurling manager ob the Last Word last night and he mentioned that both teams in Thurles last Sunday were made tog in and out in dressing rooms about 400 yards from the stadium. They were forced to walk up the road with fans of all 4 senior teams as they entered the stadium but even worse, especially for Wexford after been beaten in a great game by just 1 point they had to walk through the crowds again after the game back down to their changing rooms.

    I am told there are 4 rooms in Thurles so Why to God they could not have been given one as they would have been out in plenty of time before Clare and Cork need them.

    Typical GAA :mad::mad:

    I thought you were going to say they had to pay in when they got to the gate.

    I have known guys turn up with a gear bag to get into a game for free, but togging out that is a good one :) GAA probably made them pay to get in after getting changed

    I know of somone lads who played an U21 football match and were not let back into the stadium to watch the senior game that followed without paying.

    Typical of the powers that be in the GAA. Disgraceful. Players being asked to pay in again, what a joke!

    I presume they had to change in the Thurles Sarsfield dressing rooms which is next next to Thurles.

    The GAA obviously had no other option.

    Could they not have put them in the changing rooms that Cork and Clare used. They would have been out of them in plenty of time :confused:

    Thats mad, making the poor lads change 400m away, was there really 2 spare changing rooms ? or where they being used for some stupid reason ? I would love to find out.

    I know how they feel too
    They keep making me pay into Croke Park even tho I have the boots over my shoulder (and I'm already kitted out), ready to go incase Pillar needs a big man for the big ocasion. He hasnt yet mind you, insists on using his squad.

    I would say they would have used Dr Morris Park (same owners as semple) before they would use Sarsfields.
