Good article about selling online?

    Hey, I'm looking for a good article about selling online, i.e. how to take credit cards, suggested cart software to use etc etc.

    Google is fruitless as it's swamped with commercial crap. Has anyone come across any good sites/books/articles about this?

    There are a couple of threads over on the Irish Webmaster Forum ...

    Its cropping up every so often ..

    up front questions

    - Your programming knowledge ?
    - Your preferred Language ?
    - Your Design / Html / CSS skillset ?
    - Your preferred payment processing company ?
    - Paypal can be a handy way to go

    I don't really think there is a definitive do this do that ... each shop is on a per case basis.

    For example ... http://www.magentocommerce.com/ might be good for you ... but it can be a bit heavy server side.

    others will go with Zencart ...

    I'm not really that up on the ASP / Commercial versions
