TCD Botanical Gardens ???

    I been doing some clearing out in my great aunts. Today I can across some old OS maps old Dublin. Aside from some now closed hospitals and demolished monistories. It lists TCD's Bontanical Gradens. Which Ive never heared of before. The gardens where on the site of the Jurys (?) hotel in Ballsbridge. Has anyone any information on the history of the gardens, or ever heared of them before
