Check your wash temperature. At 30/40 deg most colours shouldn't run. Also, at the supermarket near the laundry products you will find Colour Catchers which are little sheets of papery stuff which you put into each wash to catch any runoffs.

Maybe use one of those detergents that are specifically made for coloured clothes? They'll probably still fade anyway, but maybe this will slow down the process.

Are you throwing everything in together on a high temperature wash?
You need to separate your colours and not throw everything in together. Underwear and socks can usually be washed together with a colourcatcher sheet in the machine.
If your black clothes are fading, use a liquid detergent for them or even a special one for black clothes.
Nothing except towels really need to be washed above 30 or 40 degrees.
Don't leave dark clothes out on the washing line too long in strong sunlight because this will also fade them.
Always wash white items on their own ( although I put pale blue shirts in with whites and they're fine)

    And turn everything inside out.
