Can anyone recommend family hotels etc in dublin where they have family rooms or suites that take more than 2 adults 2 kids.We have 3 kids and most hotels seem to insist on an extra room. It's for a weekend break in august.

That's a tough one - I'd say it's very difficult to find - most hotels offering family rooms only go up to 2+2 I'd say.

Depending on the ages/sizes of the children, Bewley's in Leopardstown might be able to help - I know they have 'family' rooms containing a double, single, and fold-out sofabed.

Would you consider a short-term apartment rental? I know Earlsfort Apartments have a 3 bed place which they let out by the night - see www.apartmentsdublin.com for details, or maybe somewhere like this might suit (1 bedroom sleeping 3, and a sofabed): http://www.holidaylets.net/prop_detail.asp?id=28456

    Good luck, anyway!

I would probably get banned for being a shill but I'm in the hotel booking business and probably know every hotel in Dublin and can definately get you something to suit.......

the only reason I was on this part of the forum was looking to see if I could take an add for the company I work for so i might get away with one plug....

anyway here are a few that spring to mind but I can probably get you a lot more as well....

I would recommend a few good hotels at excellent prices...

Fitzpatricks Castle hotel in Killiney is an excellent 4 star hotel and have an exec family room catering for 2 adults and 3 children and we have them from 149 per night .. say for the fri 14th aug at 149 and sat 15 aug at 200 and sun 16th at 149

If you prefer city centre the Quality Hotel on the quays is a good central spot with rates for the same nights at 169/199/129 for the fri sat and sun respectfully.

Bewleys hotel at newlands cross have a room to suit you on same nights at 89 per night which is a great price but a little outside the city.

the best priced city centre hotel is the kildare st hotel overlooking trinity college at 100 per night for their appartment room which will cover your needs too...

I can also probably organise Jury's inns which would inlcude a sofabed at 85 per room sun-thur and 142 fri and sat nights.... parnell st would be my recommendation for city centre

The prices quoted are guaranteed lowest online booking prices through failte hotels at www.failtehotels.ie

let me know if i can be of any assistance....
