Battery Problem

I have had my MacBook for nearly two years now and my battery has died for the second time at a year and 2 months. The charger will not charge it and i can only use it if pluged into the mains. Last time I got a free battery from Mactivate as my laptop was only 4 months old. Should I contact Mactivate again? Could there be a problem with my Macbook?

Do you re-calibrate the battery regularly? More details

Do you leave it plugged in mostly, or run it down and then charge it up a lot?

The pattern of usage that a battery gets determines its condition and life span.

    Examples:

My wife's Jan '07 MacBook battery still reports its health at 100% on the iStat Pro widget, bacause I calibrate it every two months or so.

My brother's iBook G3 (2002) had a health report of about 65% because he had never done it, so I set it to never sleep, and let it run down and then charged it up about three times over a few days, and it is now back at 100% - give it a try, although it may be too late for your current battery...
