Is this fight of any real significance in the overall scheme of things now???

I think Clottey will beat Judah, off workrate and effort.

Considering Clottey was beating Margarito till he hurt his left hand I would say most definitely so . Clottey should be too tough and too big for Judah .

Many feel Clottey would of beaten Margarito if he hadn't hurt his hand, Margarito has stated he wants his IBF title back, Bob Arum promotes both of them, so for me the fight is almost as good as made once Clottey wins .

God knows what will happen if Judah wins though

Yeah Cowzerp ,... any chance of putting this one up ?
    (a) its on T.V live
    (b) It's a very close match-up

Its on @ this weekend isnt it ?

BTW , I'd say its a bit of a head-wrecker doing the count -up on the comps ? I'd say so , cause I do a comp for the F! gp's every 2 weeks , and find it hard to find the time to count up the new standing for it :(

Thanks for running this comp BTW , I can appriciate the time and effort it requires :)
If you need a hand sometime , PM me !

It's on this Saturday night, well Sunday morning for us .
I've suggested a few fights in the Comp Poll thread, but whatever about the others I reckon this one has to be in .

it is significant and worth doing! I'll put it up today, i'm on my phone now so cant do it this minute, thanks for the offer of help lads, i'll shout out if i need it!

Hero of college if you decided to make a poll, it wont count so dont bother or dont bother approving other people to do 1 either as its not your place to do that.

anyone who wants a fight on it let me know about 1 week in advance and i'll put it in if there is none other or if it is especially deserving!

A good fight but of no real significance in world terms. Judah is finished as a world class fighter and to be honest never really fully delivered on his potential. Clottey is a tough guy but the fact that people are expecting this to be competitive just shows how far Judah has slipped. The fact that Margarito and Cotto was only last weekend even makes this fight look even less significant.

Having said all that it has the potential to be a good fight but I wouldn't be excited by the idea of the winner fighting Margarito. Maybe the winner against Paul Williams would make more sense because I'm not even that pushed about seeing Williams fight Margarito again.

Seems a bit of an odd statement when Clottey was getting the better of Margarito till he injured his hand and Williams got the better of Margarito(even though it was a 50/50 decision) over 12 rounds.

If you don't want to see Margarito fight them, then who would you like to see him fight ?

The minute Cotto got stopped, the winner of this fight put themselves in a position to make some real money. If Clottey beats him, as he should, then Margarito finds himself in a position whereby he has to face Clottey or Williams in his next fight.

Ideally I'd like to see him fight De La Hoya (but I think there's two chances of Oscar taking that one) or straight back in with Cotto. Clearly he has the frame to make a decent sized light middle so maybe move back up for another fight with Daniel Santos. I suppose my issue with the Williams or Clottey fights is that (to me anyway) Margarito wasn't up for those fights and pretty much sleepwalked his way through coz he underestimated them. When he's up for a fight he's a completely different animal.

How about Margarito and John Duddy at light middle? that would be fun (although maybe not for John) while it lasts. By the way I'm not seriously suggesting that one but at the same time I could think of worse fights to watch.

Oh dear ,..... Zab Judah weighted in at 143 pounds.
He's a full 4 lbs short of his limit.
Clottley came in @ 147 as expected.

You know there's problems in a camp when they cant acurately guide their fighter to the correct and ideal weight over the 8 weeks preperation.

He was 145 for Cotto and Mayweather but 143 is simply too low.
Thankfully I picked Clottey in the poll so I'm slightly more confident about that now, but I wouldn't write Judah off just yet.

Zab is going for the fast early stoppage. Too bad Clottey will ride the storm out and break him up inside 11 rounds.

Also...getting sick of these "Affliction" t-shirts. Whatever happened to wearing a suit to the Press Conference, like Cotto and Oscar and co do?

Neither would I. This is last chance saloon for Judah. Who know he may just pull it off.

Fighters should wear whatever they want at press conferences, and consider the money they're getting for wearing that affliction gear I'm sure they're very comfortable in it :D

Sometimes fighters can look a bit out of place in a suit, some look uncomfortable in them as if the press conference is the only time they wear them. Other times it does look at bit classier.

But whatever about that, this was a weigh in and I'd say it's been quite some time since guys turned up to a weigh in, in a suit :P

Well unfortunately I don't think any of those fights are going to happen in the very near future. Arum isn't going to throw Cotto straight back in with Margarito, De La Hoya has said he won't fight a Mexican in his last fight as he'd never be forgiven for it, Duddy's team are looking for a title shot at 154 so will only go for one of the belt holders and the Santos fight is unlikely while Margarito still has some business at 147.

Cotto and Santos may happen again down the line, Duddy may happen if he grabs a belt.

But right now I can only see Clottey/Judah, Williams and Mosley/Mayorga as realistic options for Antonio's next fight.

It just wouldn't be smart to go back to 154 at the moment and give away that size advantage which works so well for Margarito.

Stayed up all night, then fell asleep and missed the lot.

Woke up in time to realise that, yes, Judah, a la Britney Spears, had done it again.

The guy is the Black, Jewish Andrew Golota.

    I saw right through his ruse.....I can see, I can't see...I thought I won.

Fukc off and don't come back.

should Shane get past Mayorga , this fight could happen.
Shane would jump at the chance , and would make a much bigger event than Marg - Clottey.

The relevane of this fight is gaining momentum
