    "without cost, payment, or charge" & unencumbered with the restriction of having to purchase something else.

    So if you have to spendanything at all to avail of a Free offer then it aint free. It's merely a word that is being mis-used as part of some promotion.

    Have you ever tried to take that extra 20% Free washing up powder without purchasing the non free portion. Technically if it is free you should be able to.

    Nothing in life is free.
